Using Big City Beard's organic beard oil regularly ensures your skin and beard get the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids they need to keep looking and feeling healthy.

Top 5 ways organic beard oil will improve your beard experience:

  • Give the boot to beard itchiness and sooth your skin.
  • Avoid embarrassing beard “dandruff” incidents.
  • Soften and moisturize your beard and skin for the ones you love.
  • Fight the frizziness by helping reduce hair loss from split-ends and breakage.
  • Help to nurture and promote beard growth = Happy Beard.

What Is The Best Time to Apply Organic Beard Oil?

For best results, our organic beard oil should be applied after you come out of the shower while your beard is clean and you skin pores are open. Gently towel dry your beard before applying the oil, but leave it damp. Do not apply the oil when your beard is too wet.

    How Much Should I Use?

The suggested amount of organic beard oil you use is mostly determined by the length and thickness of your beard. However, don't be afraid to do a late afternoon refresh. Use the following chart for reference but each beard is different so feel free to adjust to best suite your beard.

    The

The "Office" Beard - Up to 1" in beard length

If you have just started growing the beard, or you keep it short and tight, we suggest starting with 3-5 drops of beard oil and adjusting from there.

    The

The "Established" Beard - 1" to 2.5" in beard length

Enjoy the feeling of a full thick beard, but without going too crazy, we suggest starting with 5-8 drops of beard oil and adjusting from there.

    The

The "Pro" Beard - 2.5" to 5" in beard length

You're not afraid to grow it and we suggest you feed that glorious mane with 8-12 drops of beard oil to start and then adjust as needed.

The Certified Beard - Longer than 5

The "Certified" Beard - 5" or longer in beard length

Shaving isn't even a word in your vocabulary. We salute you and suggest starting with 12+ drops of beard oil and adjusting as needed from there.

How to Apply Organic Beard Oil

When applied correctly, organic beard oils will keep your beard and skin hydrated and healthy looking all day. To get the best results, you must evenly distribute the organic beard oil throughout your beard and on the skin below. The following 5 steps will help you to ensure that you get the best results every time.

Wood beard comb helps to distribute the beard oil evenly in your beard

    Step 1:

Using the glass pipette, drop the required amount of oil into your palm spread it evenly through out your palms and fingers.

    Step 2:

Work the oil into your skin before spreading it into your beard. It is important to get the oil to the roots of your beard to help keep it healthy and strong.

    Step 3:

Work the oil evenly into your beard by applying across and with the direction of you beard hair. Brush your palms down the sides of your beard and then do the same for the front of your beard.

    Step 4:

Don't forget the hairs on your chin and above your neck, continue to spread the oil evenly. Use your finger tips to spread oil throughout your moustache.

    Step 5:

Use a Wooden Beard Comb or Boar's Hair Brush to work down the sides of your beard and do the same for the front, continuing to spread the oil evenly until absorbed.

Grooming Tip - Using a Wooden Comb for Best Results

Using proper beard grooming tools makes maintaining your beard easier and faster. Grooming tools like a wooden beard comb don't create static electricity, significantly reducing unwanted frizzy beard hair. A wooden comb helps to distribute the oil evenly throughout your beard and down to the roots. To avoid knots and tangled beard hair, follow our best practices below:

    • Use your wood comb to work the beard oil in to your beard, slowly untangling any knots that you find along the way.
    • Start low and work your way higher, working the oil into your beard. Start by your neck and work your way towards your chin. This will ensure beard oil is evenly distributed, giving your beard a full and fluffy look.
