Describe what makes your business unique, what your customers love about your business?
The overall fun feel of our store and the wide variety of unique products that we carry is what keeps brining customers back. We are located in a heritage building in the heart of downtown Nanaimo, which creates a unique fun and friendly shopping experience, whether your looking for one of kind furniture to needing a cool gift for someone you love.
Describe your primary business and services?
Flying Fish is one of Vancouver Island’s most eclectic retail stores, offering everything from custom furniture, home décor, and kitchenware to clothing, jewelry, bath and body products. In short we carry everything you need for cooking, living and giving.
What is the most important thing you want customers to know about your business?
Our main focus is on products made in Canada and as local as possible. Everything we bring into the store is something we would be proud to display in our own home or give as a gift. Whether it’s selecting products, making a window display or helping our customers find the perfect accent for their home, we put care and attention into everything we do.
What does supporting organic and fair-trade products mean to you and your business?
Who our suppliers are is important to us, we actively source Canadian made products and carry as many fair trade and organic products as we can source. Supporting organic and fair-trade products means that we are able to offer our customers access to unique products that are premium quality and hard to find.
What is it like to work with Big City Beards?
Big City Beards has been a great retail partner. Helping with the inventory and re-orders is very helpful and their knowledge of all things beards is what makes them so good at what they do.
